Caloocan City top 3 in NCR

Caloocan City has been ranked top 3 in the entire National Capital Region in the Collection Efficiency of Locally Sourced Revenues category for the Local Revenue Generation for Fiscal Year 2020.

The city was awarded by the Bureau of Local Government Finance after reaching a collection efficiency of 123.1 percent and the LSR of Caloocan reached P3,090.75M and surpassed the target of P2,510.57M.

The LSR is the sum of the collected Real Property Tax, Local Business Tax, Professional Taxes, Community Taxes, Regulatory fees and other service charges, and receipts from economic enterprises.

According to Mayor Oscar Malapitan, this award “is proof that the local government has a proper, honest and efficient tax collection system.”
