Bacolor, Pampanga—A series of gunburst echoed in surrounding communities here signaling the start of two-day “funshoot” held at the Bacolor Shooting Range hosted by the Pampanga Police Advisory Group in Barangay Cabetican Friday.

Gun enthusiasts from different police offices, military and members of different gun clubs participated in the first ever Advisory Council sponsored shootfest, also known as the “fundemic” shoot, said Police Colonel Robin ‘King’ Sarmiento, acting director of the Pampanga Provincial Police Office.

“This activity was made possible through the auspices of the Pampanga Provincial Office Advisory Group in which the objective is to raise funds on our behalf,” said Sarmiento during the shootfest event.

He said the Philippine National Police (PNP) has a policy that medical bills shall be paid by a cop using his own personal fund and then file for a reimbursement, said Sarmiento as he assured immediate reimbursement of all medical expenses.

During the first day of the fun shoot, Sarmiento said the Advisory Group was able to raise P1 million from the sponsors including the fees of participants.
