Tawi-Tawi son tops CE Board exams

A young graduate from Tawi-Tawi topped the 2021 Civil Engineering Board Exams given by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) in several venues last November 14 and 15.

Engineer Rajiv Nooh Dalagan Amil garnered 93.25% to break for Ateneo the roster of engineering board topnotchers that often went to Mapua Institute of Technology and the University of the Philippines.

Amil’s uncle, Director Omar Khayyam Dalagan of the Technical Skills Development Authority in Zamboanga del Sur, broke the good news for him as the first ever Bangsamoro to have topped the engineering board exams, held in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Amil, a graduate of the Ateneo De Davao University, is from Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, and the son of Engineer Nooh Amil of the BARMM Ministry of Public Works Engineering District Office Tawi Tawi, and State Auditor III Maureen Dalagan Amil, CPA of the Commission on Audit in Tawi Tawi. The University of Negros Recoletos and University of Batangas followed closely in the second place with Charlene Grace Varrera Gelotin and Lyka Hane Maglinao Pesigan, both obtaining a 92.75% rating.

De La Salle University in Manila and Cebu Institute of Technology both landed in third place with John Mark Lojo David and Kamelle Apurado Legaspi, both scoring 90.05%.

Far Eastern University and University of San Fernando in Pampanga took the fourth place with Joshua Panit Mangila and Daniel James Agsaullo Molina garnering 91.85% each.  

Eastern Visayas University and CIT share the fifth place in Michael Bruce Brigildo Lariba and Jodane Estreba Paez both posting a rating of 91.70%.

Marvin Durante Alas-as (Manuel Enverga University Foundation), Frances Manule Bontia (Cebu Technological University); Art Gil Lumapas Granada (University of Southern Philippines, Davao City), and Sergie Rowell Alegro Rufo (Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (Talisay, Cebu) each obtained a 91.50% rating for the 6th place.

On 7th place is Dale Iverson Navarro Lacastre Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila with a 91.35% rating. On 8th place are Jerson Sumile Castro (Xavier University); Lara Katrina Agagon Chua (Mapua University, formerly MIT); John Philippe Del Valle Dacay (University of San Carlos); Matthew Niño Go Dy (University of San Carlos), each obtaining a 91.15% score.

University of Mindanao (Davao City); University of Santo Tomas and Pangasinan State University shared 9th place with Maruel Jade Christian Bering Alidon; Rod Michael Lora Dacanay and Angelo Catabay Magno respectively, each obtaining a 91.00%.

Mariano Marcos University; University of Batangas; and Manuel Enverga University Foundation are also in 10th place with Angelica Biscaro Gilo; Dan Michael Sean Abarquez Marocom and Renzon Daraway Pagkatipunan each with a rating of 90.80%.
