Tingog party-list nominee Jude A. Acidre recently led the group’s free pneumococcal vaccination of more than 500 senior citizen residents of Pagsanjan, Laguna.

This was as Pagsanjan Vice Mayor Maita Ejercito and former Laguna Gov. ER Ejercito made their commitment of support to Tingog Party-list in Laguna.

Tingog Party-list is led by Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez, who chairs the House committee on the welfare of children.

Acidre said the “malasakit” (compassionate) act of Tingog is aimed at boosting the health care services amid the coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Tingog’s malasakit will continue because we are committed to help the people in our quest to emerge victorious in these uncertain times,” said Acidre, the past national president of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippine.

Tingog Party-list also distributed care kits donated by partners in Laguna to keep the people safe and healthy during the vaccination drive.

According to medical institutions, pneumococcal infection can cause some serious problems, such as pneumonia, which affects the lungs; meningitis, which affects the brain; and bacteremia, which is a severe infection in the blood that will lead to death, especially adults and persons with certain health conditions.

Prior to the vaccination, the Tingog Party-list team had a meeting with barangay chairpersons, SK chairpersons, and employees from the office of Vice Mayor Ejercito for future and continuous implementation of projects in Laguna.
