The Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan will back the vice presidential bid of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio as well as the senatorial slate of PDP-Laban in next year’s elections.

“Bong Go is our president, Mayor Sara is our vice president, and we will adopt the Senate slate of PDP-Laban of (Energy) Secretary Alfonso Cusi,” PDDS national adviser Greco Belgica said Friday.

The presidential daughter, who is running under Lakas-CMD, is the running mate of former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., the standard bearer of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas.

Belgica expressed confidence that Go will not withdraw from the presidential race, despite the senator admitting Thursday it might not be his time yet to lead the country.

“He just said he leaves it to God. He believes in Divine Providence,” said Belgica.

Cusi, for his part, said Go was “just being honest.”

“I’m sure all candidates, one way or another, must have entertained the thought of withdrawing. Senator Bong Go was just being honest and verbalized it,” Cusi said.

Before filing his candidacy for the country’s highest elective post under the PDDS, Go was the vice presidential candidate of the Cusi-led PDP-Laban for about 40 days.
