Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard-bearer Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has sustained his lead in the recent non-commissioned survey conducted by Issues and Advocacy Center, or The Center —showing that the public sees him as their preferred presidential candidate for the 2022 elections.

Based on the Pulso ng Pilipino nationwide survey conducted among 2,400 respondents last September 27 to October 8, Marcos is leading the presidential race, obtaining a highest preference rating nationwide of 23.5%.

Of the other candidates, Sen. Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao garnered 19.75% for the second spot, followed by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso with 18%, Vice President Leni Robredo at 14%, Sen. Panfilo Lacson at 12.5%, Sen. Bato dela Rosa at 7.75%, Ka Leodegario de Guzman with 3.25%, and former National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales with 1.25%.

The Center considered the 23.5% rating generated by Marcos as “very significant.”

While the research group sees there is no individual or organization who can take credit for the 23.5% rating of Marcos except him alone, the presidential aspirant believes that it is because of the support of his party and groups that he remains at the top of surveys.

Last week, in the 3rd Quarter survey released by PUBLiCUS Asia Inc., Marcos emerged as the top presidential candidate. This, his camp said, confirmed the growing grassroots support for his candidacy and proved that the Kalye Surveys conducted by independent YouTube vloggers in various parts of the country consistently showed him as the top choice of the people.

“I am grateful to everyone who said they would vote for me. Thank you very much, and hopefully when polling day comes we will be there to hear our voices,” Marcos said.
