Cotabato City—The election fever notwithstanding, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) will continue to engage the community by carrying out varied programs and projects the people need.

BARMM Interior and Local Government Minister Project Naguib Sinarimbo renewed this assurance of the regional leadership’s commitment to deliver socioeconomic development to its constituents.

Sinarimbo also reiterated he was not running for any elective position, and that he would remain a member of the BARMM Cabinet.

Over the weekend, Sinarimbo said he had inspected a water impoundment rehabilitation project which will benefit farming communities in four of the 63 barangays of Cotabato Province that have joined the region, and which now constitute the BARMM Special Geographic Area (SGA).

He said despite security risks brought about by the pre-election season, the BARMM government’s community services should continue unhampered.

Also on weekend, Sinarimbo visited two on-going construction sites of new barangay halls in Lower Baguer and in Datu Binasing, also of the 63-barangay SGA.

His team also inspected road construction to and from these two barangays for a shorter route from Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao to Pigcawayan in neighboring Cotabato Province.
