Malabon is postponing anew the inoculation for the second dose of the Gamaleya-Sputnik V vaccine until Friday, Aug. 13, due to the delay in its delivery to the city.

The city government reiterated that the content of the first dose and second dose of Sputnik V are different, thus vaccinees in the city have to wait for the Component 2 vaccine for their second dose.

According to Malabon City Public Information office OIC Bong Padua, vaccinees will receive a text message regarding their new schedule of Sputnik V second dose as soon as the new supply arrives in the city.

He added that walk-in vaccination will not be allowed now that Metro Manila is under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), except for senior citizens who will get their first dose.

The special first-dose lane will also open for unvaccinated senior citizens at all vaccination sites. Moreover, their registered companion can also be vaccinated whatever category they belong, Padua added.

The scheduled first and second dose vaccinations will continue today, he said.

“Just present the automated text from BOLDSendPH in the vaccination sites at the scheduled day and time. The second dose will be received where the first dose was received, just present the vaccination card,” Padua added.

Meanwhile, partial lists of financial assistance beneficiaries for payout have been posted on the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWDD) Facebook Page. Residents may visit the CSWDD Malabon City page for all the aid announcements to be distributed during ECQ.
