Despite exposure to a COVID-19 patient, Vice President Leni Robredo on Sunday said she had tested negative for the virus.

“Fortunately, I was negative. I’ll be back at the office tomorrow,” she said during her weekly radio program.

Upon learning that she was in contact with a COVID-19 patient, she said she immediately placed herself under quarantine and even took a swab test.

Last April, the Vice President also self-quarantined, following exposure to a close-in security detail who contracted COVID-19, and that in July 2020, a staff from the Office of the Vice President was found positive of COVID-19.

At the same time, Robredo called on all Filipinos to help one another amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) is readying the strictest quarantine classification from Aug. 6 to 20 to curb the surge of the Delta variant of the coronavirus.

Aside from Vice President Robredo, Liberal Party Senators Francis Pangilinan and Minority Floor Leader Franklin Drilon, Akbayan Senator Risa Hontiveros and officials of the Aquino government will also grace the event.
