Customs seizes P3.5 million cigarettes

The Bureau of Customs seized some P3.5 million worth of smuggled various brands of cigarettes at the Port of Zamboanga.

Joint operatives from the BOC, the Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines, and Philippine Coast Guard intercepted a sea vessel carrying the smuggled cigarettes off the shores of Manalipa Island in Zamboanga City.

The boat was loaded with 100 master cases of King Perfect and other brands of cigarettes with a total estimated value of P3.5 million.
