Days after the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency dismantled a drug ring in Tubao, La Union, the anti-narcotics agents served a warrant and arrested a Yemeni national for cultivating marijuana plants in his house.
The Yemeni identified asHussain Muaad Hasan also known as Muath Yaf had mid-eastern nationals with young Filipinas in two frequented his home, agents said.
He did not resist t arrest in his residence at 149 Purok 5, Bakakeng Central, Baguio City on the June 5, 2021 upon seeing a platoon of government forces who were sent to serve the arrest warrant.
The Yemeni had been placed under surveillance operations after reports of his and his peers rowdy behaviours in the neighborhood every time they were high on drugs.
Seized as evidence were marijuana plants and dried stalks ready for use.
PDEA CAR’s Operation Division said it would also conduct background investigation on Hasan and his friends on their drug connections with the immigrations and other line agencies.
