The country’s two biggest airlines on Wednesday canceled flights between Manila and Dubai until June 15 owing to a travel ban the Philippine government imposed on passengers from the United Arab Emirates.

“Philippine government ban on travel from the UAE is extended until June 15, As such, there are no PAL flights to/from UAE (Dubai) during this period,” Philippine Airlines said.

“Our Manila-Dubai-Manila flights, which operate once a week (Wednesday), will resume on June 16,” it added.

Cebu Pacific also  cancelled its flights to and from Dubai from June 1 to 15 this year.

The Gokongwei-led airline said affected passengers have been informed via contact details provided in the booking.
