Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office board member Sandra Cam surrendered to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group on Wednesday.

CIDG director Maj. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro said Cam coordinated with their field office for her surrender.

The CIDG officers served the arrest warrant to the PCSO official who is confined at an undisclosed hospital in Cavite due to a medical concern.

A police escort is now keeping an eye on Cam, Ferro said.

Cam was among the seven individuals who were ordered arrested by the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 42 on Monday over the killing of Batuan, Masbate Vice Mayor Charlie Yuson III two years ago.

Aside from Cam, also ordered arrested by the court were her son Marco Martin and five others identified as Nelson Cambaya, Junel Gomez, Juanito De Luna, Bradford Solis, and Rigor dela Cruz.

Yuson, his aide, Alberto Alforte, and Wilfredo Pineda were having breakfast at an eatery in Sampaloc, Manila when they were attacked in October 2019.

Alforte and Pineda were injured in the incident. Cam had previously denied her involvement in the crime.

Marco Martin lost to Yuson’s son, Charmax Jan, in the 2019 mayoralty race in Batuan.
