PLLO chief Sitoy dies, 85

Presidential Legislative Liaison Office head Sec. Adelino Sitoy passed away Thursday. He was 85.

President Rodrigo Duterte interrupted the report of his Cabinet members during his address to the public Thursday evening after receiving a text message on Sitoy’s death.

“He is the second Cabinet member to die. First was Danny Lim, then now Sec. Sitoy of PLLO,” Duterte said before asking for a minute of silence for the late Cabinet official.

Lim passed away of cardiac arrest over a week after contracting COVID-19 in January.

Sitoy, a lawyer by profession, was a former dean of the College of Law of the University of Cebu and served as assistant city fiscal of Cebu City and Toledo City.

He was appointed PLLO head in September 2016.
