Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan will grant regularization and promotions to the Ten Outstanding City Government Employees for this year for their service.

The awardees are Lourdes Canales, Caloocan City Social Welfare Department; Benito Galvez Jr., Public Safety and Traffic Management Department; Crisostomo Kong, Caloocan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office; Joseph Celino, City Health Department;

Mia Shiela Enriquez, Caloocan City Medical Center; Jerry Melanio, CEMD; Anabel Pronto, General Services Department; Corazon Cruz, City Assessment Department; Eddieheimer Edra, Caloocan City North Medical Center; at Maria Victoria Gonzales, Sanggunian Panlungsod Secretariat.

The selected employees play important roles and continue to do their roles for the city’s fight against COVID-19, Malapitan said. Some of them are medical workers, members of the rescue team, and those who lead the distribution of the city government aid.

Special employees were awarded during the celebration of the 59th Anniversary of Caloocan City. Three of them are job order workers, and seven are permanent employees.

“One of our criteria for selecting the outstanding employee for this year is that the employee plays a major role and contributes to our COVID-19 response,” said Malapitan.

In return for their outstanding service for the people of Caloocan, Mayor Oca ordered the search for a permanent item for the three job order workers and give priority to the promotion of the seven regular employees.

“We will continue to do good for our fellow citizens, for this will be rewarded by the City Government and from God,” said Mayor Oca.
