Military, police get discounted fares on PAL

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines is giving travel privileges to military and police personnel in the form of discounted domestic economy fare.

"As a special treat this holiday season for the men and women of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, PAL is providing a 20% discount on select fare brands," said PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna.

She said the discount privilege will be applied on the base fare of Economy Saver and select Supersaver Fare brands of PAL domestic flights.

Villaluna said AFP, PNP, PCG and BJMP personnel have until December 31, 2020 to buy their domestic tickets and avail of the 20% discount. She added the travel period is until June 30, 2021.

Flights may be booked through Philippine-based PAL ticket offices,  PAL partner travel agents or Reservations hotline (02) 8855 8888.

To avail of the discount, travelers must present their identification card.

"This special offer applies to active AFP, PNP, PCG, and BJMP Filipino personnel," said Villaluna

Two years ago, PAL also gave AFP military personnel discounted rates for domestic economy or business class tickets.

The travel privilege was 20% off the base fare of a ticket along with the corresponding free baggage allowance. The other salient privileges include priority during check-in and boarding and acknowledgement during the flight.
