The Rizal Balanced Fund (RBF) was named Best Balanced (Peso) Fund by the Chartered Financial Analyst Society Philippines.
The RBF has been recognized for providing the best risk-based returns on a consistent basis for a five-year period.
RBF is a unit investment trust fund (UITF) managed by the Trust and Investment Group of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. and is considered one of the most affordable and accessible investment products available in the market.
It is invested in both fixed-income securities and in stocks of companies listed and to be listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange. Initial investment is at P5,000.
The bank reported a 654 percent increase in UITF online clients as of July 2020. This translates to a 294 percent year-to-date increase in terms of the volume of UITF online investments for the bank.
Moreover, UITF assets under management (AUM) in all channels grew by 56.98 percent as of July 2020 compared to the same month in 2019.
“The pandemic has definitely increased the propensity of our clients to save and invest and our online platform has made it easier for them do that,” RCBC Head of Trust and Investments Group Dr. Robert Ramos said.
The growth in UITFs for July was also attributed to the bank’s enhancement of the UITF module in RCBC Banking Online, which has made it easier and convenient for clients to invest in UITFs.
The enhanced version of RCBC Online Banking made the end-to-end process of investing in UITFs purely online – from enrollment of new accounts to placements and redemptions.
