Senator Cynthia Villar initiated the distribution of face shields to Las Pinas residents and workers to boost their protection against the new coronavirus disease.
Villar sourced out more than 6,000 face shields and with the help of barangay leaders and community volunteers, distributed the personal protective equipment to all 20 barangays of Las Pinas City and nearby barangays of Cavite.
Employees, farm workers, biomen, street sweepers, waste collectors, traffic aides, barangay tanod and policemen also received face shields from the senator.
“As we ease quarantine restrictions, we should always remind the people to wear face masks and face shields as well as to practice physical distancing and hand hygiene. These PPEs, which are now available and affordable, will protect our people as they move around the community and earn a living for their families.”
