The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is now requiring all employees and visitors to wear face mask and shield inside the main office building to further prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.

“The no face shield and no face mask, no entry (policy) is being implemented at MMDA offices,” the MMDA public information office said in its advisory Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, MMDA officials led by chairman Danilo Lim and general manager Jose Arturo Garcia Jr. started distributing face shields to all workers who are required to wear the protective device whenever they are inside MMDA offices.

Currently, the MMDA has more than 8,000 employees, with almost eighty percent working in the field on various locations in Metro Manila.
