The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is investigating reports that one of its traffic personnel openly disregards the Enhanced Community Quarantine protocol after he was caught riding with a woman on his service motorcycle.

The photo, taken along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue involving the motorcycle-riding MMDA enforcer and the woman, went viral on social media, and was seen by MMDA Chief of EDSA-Traffic Edison Nebrija Jr.

He said the enforcer clearly violated the No Back Ride Policy being implemented during the time of ECQ which was imposed by the government in Luzon to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.

“If we could get the cycle number we will let the enforcer involved to explain and face the consequences of his action,” said Nebrija in a statement posted Sunday on his social media account.

“Personally being the Traffic Chief of EDSA, I have already issued a memo reiterating the No Back Ride Policy particularly to our enforcers. Violation of which will be dealt with accordingly,” he added.
