Overstaying Kuwaiti arrested in Davao City

Bureau of Immigration (BI) agents arrested an overstaying Kuwaiti national in Davao city whose deportation was sought by local officials for allegedly being a troublemaker in the community.

BI acting intelligence chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. identified the alien as Faisal Abdullah Almansour, who was arrested by operatives from the BI’s Mindanao Intelligence Task Group (MITG) at his home in Governor Generoso, Davao city.

Manahan said the foreigner was arrested after the BI received a complaint from Mayor Katrina Joy Orencia alleging that the Kuwaiti national was the subject of numerous complaints from residents in the neighborhood.

The mayor said Almansour had caused chaos and trouble in the community, thus necessitating his expulsion from the country.

Investigation revealed that the Kuwaiti national had overstayed in the country for more than seven years and that his passport already expired two years ago.
