DAR has zero backlog

The Department of Agrarian Reform has been recently recognized as the first ever government agency that has complied with Republic Act No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Government Efficient Delivery System Act.

Secretary John Castriciones thanked Anti-Red Tape Authority director general Jeremiah Belgica for giving DAR a  zero-backlog accomplishment, the first ever ARTA-compliance by a government agency.

DAR reported a zero-backlog accomplishment on land acquisition and distribution cases, resolving 100 percent of its pending cases related to agrarian justice delivery, he said.

He cited the speedy resolution of agrarian cases under the agrarian legal implementation and agrarian legal assistance could ease the tension between and among farmer-beneficiaries and landowners.

Following the President’s continuing reminder to process government transactions without delay and to implement ARTA’s mandate for efficient delivery of government service, the 3-7-20 day specific processing time was established under RA 11032.

All government offices and agencies including local government units, government-owned-or-controlled corporations, and other government instrumentalities must comply with the prescribed processing time of three working days for simple transactions, seven working days for complex transactions and 20 working days for highly technical applications.
