The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced on Thursday it will enforce a traffic rerouting scheme in connection with the seven-night closure of the westbound lane of Aurora Boulevard in Quezon City beginning Saturday.
In its advisory, the MMDA public information office stated that the Manila-bound lane of Aurora Boulevard (between Oxford and Imperial Streets) will be closed to vehicular traffic for seven consecutive nights to make way to the replacement of escalator units of the Light Railway Transit Line 2.
The closure will be implemented from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Jan. 25 up to Feb. 1.
This will allow the private contractor of the Department of Transportation to transfer the escalator units from a big truck to the Cubao LRT station using a mobile crane. Transfer would only be done at night to minimize the inconvenience.
