A 5.2-magnitude earthquake was felt in northern Luzon at around 10:36 a.m. on Saturday.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the quake’s epicenter was registered 36 kilometers northwest of Luna, La Union.
The state seismology bureau sees no damage so far, but expects aftershocks.
Intensity IV (moderately strong) was felt in Luna, Bangar, San Juan, San Fernando, and Bacnotan in La Union. Vigan in Ilocos Sur and Baguio reported the same intensity.
Meanwhile, Intensity III (weak) was reported in Bauang, La Union; Batac, San Nicolas, and Pinili in Ilocos Norte; Itogon, Kabayan, Mankayan, Sablan, Tuba, and Kapangan in Benguet; and Dagupan and Alaminos in Pangasinan.
