DSWD’s 4Ps to start monitoring education compliance, grant payment in June

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) on Wednesday announced that the monitoring of education compliance and payment of corresponding cash grants for the school year 2025 to 2026 will begin in June.

“This adjustment follows the Department of Education’s (DepEd) revised school calendar for School Year 2025–2026. The move is also in line with the 4Ps Act of 2019, which mandates that education grants shall not exceed 10 months per monitored child in a year,” Director Gemma Gabuya of the 4Ps National Program Management Office (NPMO) said.

Gabuya added that the compliance period will cover Pay Period 3 (P3), which spans June to July.

To receive the education grants under the 4Ps, beneficiaries must ensure that children aged 3 to 18 are enrolled in school and maintain a class attendance rate of at least 85 percent.

“This change ensures that education grants are disbursed only during months when children are actually attending school, thereby maximizing the support provided to beneficiary households,” Gabuya said.

The 4Ps NPMO also announced that for Pay Period 2 (P2), which covers April to May, beneficiaries will receive only health grants, rice subsidies, and the First 1000 Days (F1KD) cash grants for households with pregnant members or children aged 0 to 2.
