The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial office in Bataan has launched a three-day project that offers school supplies, foods, clothes, and other essential items at discounted prices.
Dubbed “Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan” the event was held May 14 to 16 at the Balanga City Plaza.
The affair featured discounted goods from 67 participating stores and outlets in the city.
Discounts ranged from 10 percent to 50 percent.
DTI Bataan provincial director Eileen Ocampo said the caravan can help families particularly those preparing for the opening of classrooms next month.
She also expressed gratitude to the Balanga City government for its support in making the event possible.
The Diskwento Caravan is part of the DTI’s ongoing efforts to ensure that essential goods remain accessible and affordable for the public especially during the back-to-school period.
