Duterte appoints heads of PhilSa, Housing department

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed the heads of the newly-created Philippine Space Agency and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development.

In a list released by the Palace Tuesday, Joel Joseph Marciano Jr. was named as director general of the PhilSA while former military man Eduardo del Rosario was appointed as secretary of the Housing department.

The President has also reappointed Dante Ang, chairman emeritus of The Manila Times, as special envoy for international public relations.

Ang was first designated to the post on May 3, 2017. He was reappointed on Nov. 1, 2018 and served until Oct. 1, 2019.

Ang carries a hefty portfolio in high-profile public relations job and was PR consultant for Iraq during the Iran-Iraq War and for Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait War.

He also served as publicist to former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo from 1993 to 2003.
