The Bureau of Customs (BOC) confiscated smuggled smart televisions and computer system units worth more than P20 million in Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio said that BOC operatives inspected a warehouse facility of ECOM Electronics Reconditioning Services located at RIS Industrial Complex 168 Mercado St. Lot 3U, Malis, Guiguinto, Bulacan, and found TV and computer system units.

The BOC team discovered assorted televisions of different sizes, machines used for lamination, boxes used for packaging, and raw materials for reconditioning and repair.

The estimated value of the goods discovered inside the warehouse is more than P20 million.

“We will require the owners to present importation documents or proof of payment. If found to be without the proper import documents, the contents of the warehouse may be subject to seizure and forfeiture proceedings,” he said.
