Joint operatives of the Bureau of Customs (BOC)   and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have arrested in Masantol, Pampanga the claimant of a shipment containing 47 grams of shabu worth P324,000.

The BOC agents discovered the illegal drugs during a routine examination conducted on February 21 of the shipment from California, United States declared to contain photographs.

The bureau subjected the shipment to K9 sniffing, X-ray scanning, and physical examination procedures. The tests showed three envelopes containing white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu.

Samples were taken to PDEA for chemical laboratory analysis, which confirmed the presence of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride or Shabu, a dangerous drug under the Republic Act (R.A.) No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The government operatives conducted a controlled delivery operation to the consignee’s address in Masantol Pampanga and arrested the claimant.
