In Quezon City, 36-year old sari-sari store and eatery owner Mary Grace Pantinople was arrested for possession of 500 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P3.4 million.

Operatives of the Central Police District assisted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – National Capital Region arrested Pantinople at the Balintawak Market in Barangay Balinggasa Sunday afternoon.

Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg said the suspect, Raquel Zuñiga, a resident of Marasaga Street, Tatalon, Quezon City, was caught in possession of 350 grams of shabu when she was frisked while about to enter the maximum security compound of NBP around 1 p.m. Sunday.

The prohibited substance was discovered in four improvised white envelops sealed with scotch tape.

NCRPO director Maj. Gen. Felipe Natividad commended the “unwavering effort of his men in the conduct of drug operations despite its risky and extremely dangerous nature.”

“The campaign against illegal drugs is one of our focused priority effort here in NCRPO. Relatedly, it is also among the most risky operations we have. Hence I commend the elements of SPD for their bravery in successfully arresting these drug suspects and recovering illegal drugs. Your commitment to duty and dedication indeed is worthy of emulation,” he said.
