The Las Piñas City government has started its vaccination program for babies up to 23 months old against various diseases.

The local government is targeting inoculating 4,000 infants to protect them against illnesses, including tuberculosis, measles and polio.

The Department of Health (DOH) spearheaded the program dubbed Chikiting Vaccination that aims to reach young people who have not been inoculated with fundamental vaccines or those who have not yet completed vaccinations due to lockdown.

Representatives from the DOH personally visited Barangay CAA on the first day of the program for monitoring and evaluation.

The vaccination will last until June 10 in twenty barangays until the number of infants who will be given the free vaccine is reached.
