Camarines Norte representative passes away

Camarines Norte Rep. Marisol  Panotes has died.

Panotes’ daughter, Rosemarie, announced the passing of her mother in a social media post. 

“It is with deep sorrow to announce the passing of my mother Congw. Marisol “Toots” Panotes—a loving mother, a loving wife, a loving grandma and a good public servant,” she stated.

“Your prayers will be much appreciated in this most difficult time,” she added.

The leadership of the House of Representatives led by Speaker Lord Allan Velasco and Majority Leader and 1st District Rep. Martin Romualdez, sent their condolences to the Panotes family.

“We are saddened by the news on the untimely death of our colleague from the second district of Camarines Norte, Rep. Marisol Conejos Panotes,” Romualdez said.

“We condole with her family, relatives and friends at this difficult time,” Romualdez added.

Rep. Panotes was an active member of the majority. She was vice chairperson of the House Committees in Disaster Resilience and on Population and Family Relations. Maricel V. Cruz

She was also a member of 14 other big committees, including those on Foreign Relations, Basic Education and Culture, Higher and Technical Education, Banks and Financial Intermediaries, and Bicol Recovery and Development.

“We will surely miss her. May she rest in peace,” Velasco said.
