Senator Manny Pacquiao said he will appoint evangelist and lawmaker Eddie Villanueva as his anti-corruption czar should he become President after the May 9 national elections.

“If God wills that I will be president of our nation, I would appoint Congressman Eddie Villanueva, better known as Brother Eddie Villanueva, as corruption czar,” said Pacquiao, who is running under the banner of PROMDI.

“With Brother Eddie, I am confident that justice can finally be attained against the corrupt officials of government – past and present,” the former champion boxer added of the founder of the Jesus is Lord Church.

Villanueva, who is currently a Deputy Speaker at the House of Representatives, represents the Citizens’ Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC) Party-list, whose main advocacy is to fight corruption.
