The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has resumed inspecting establishments nationwide employing foreign nationals.

Labor Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III has authorized 385 labor inspectors to validate Alien Employment Permits issued by the department and the Bureau of Immigration to foreigners working in the country.

Bello also issued Administrative Order No. 14, Series of 2022, mandating the labor inspectors to verify the company’s legitimacy.

DOLE will also inspect the list of alien employment permit applicants, the list of foreign nationals working at the time of verification, and the roster of local employees.

Immigration  commissioner Jaime Morente warned that foreigners who will be caught working without the required working permit will be deported and banned from returning to the Philippines.
