Duterte appoints 36 new prosecutors

Malacañang has appointed 36 more prosecutors under the Department of Justice’s National Prosecution Service.

Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra on Friday said that the new prosecutors under the NPS were appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte last Thursday.

“Another batch of NPS appointments coming out before 25 March 2019,” Guevarra said.

Among the new appointees, two have been designated to the DOJ main office in Manila, namely, Assistant State Prosecutor Herbert Calvin dela Peña and Senior Deputy State Prosecutor Jaugan, Mariza de los Santos.

Five new appointees will be assigned to the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office, namely: Deputy City Prosecutor Jessie Melendez Bautista; Assistant City Prosecutors Joker Paul Ayonayon de Ala and Maria Cristina Sampaga-Manuel; Senior Assistant City Prosecutors Aquil Pangarungan Ismael and Maryjury Madrid-Songgadan. Other prosecutors assigned in Metro Manila include Deputy City Prosecutor Raymund Oliver Sigua Almonte, Quezon City; Assistant City Prosecutor Mary Eileen Chinte-Cabrera, Pasay City; Assistant City Prosecutor Generoso Orias Damot, Jr., Pasay City; Assistant City Prosecutor Marcos Fernandez Dela Cruz, Jr., Pasay City; Assistant City Prosecutor Neil Hector Tabay Dueñas, Pasay City; Senior Assistant City Prosecutor Marissa Lopez Ednaco, Pasay City; Assistant City Prosecutor Phillip Martinez Torres, Pasay City; and Assistant City Prosecutor Jose Marbas Vizcarra, Jr., Makati City.
