Ahead of the  commemoration of the 33rd year of the EDSA Revolution on Feb. 25, 2019, former President Fidel V. Ramos, the Ramos Peace and Development Foundation, Inc, and Media Touchstone Ventures Inc. will launch “Silver Linings: The Continuing Saga of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution” on Feb. 22, 2019 at the Kalayaan Hall at Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan City from 2 p.m.  to 5 p.m.

Silver Linings is a book on the PNP’s Special Action Force done as a living tribute to the heroism, bravery and dedication of Tagaligtas troopers, as well as the founders who made this historical book possible.

“This updated edition of Silver Linings seeks to instill in the Filipinos that as we go about our daily tasks, we must do our best in whatever we think, say and do; that our greatest duty is to rise to life’s challenges as responsible citizens; and that we must strive always to see justice done, the rule of law upheld, civic responsibility performed, and national teamwork enhanced,” says former President Ramos, who, along with then-Defense Secretary Juan Ponce Enrile, led the revolt in 1986 that brought down a dictator.

Authored by the Ramos family biographer Melandrew T. Velasco, together with former DILG Secretary Rafael Alunan and the 1st SAF Director and PDDG Reynaldo V. Velasco (ret.), Silver Linings follows through where the first edition ended in May 2012 under former President Benigno S. Aquino III until the first three years of the Duterte presidency.
