Ascendens Asia Group, Singapore and Philippine partners are inviting students and other researchers to submit abstracts of their studies on practical and innovative solutions to the most pressing problems facing their local communities in the First National Competition on Research Poster Presentations to be held next March.

The project, Research Advocacy for Community Empowerment, seeks to generate 20,000 research outputs, mainly from public and private academic institutions from Junior High School to Post-Graduate levels.

The most outstanding researchers will get the opportunity to present their research topics in poster format to interested companies, organizations, financial partners and the general public at the national RACE competitions at a Metro Manila venue in March.

The competition and exhibition is a five-month search for the top 10 research papers conducted at various public and private schools in all regions of the country.

Researchers will be invited to make a poster -based presentation on the subject of their research and how it will help solve the problems of their local communities.

RACE is designed to run annually.

The organizers applied to set a Guinness World record for being the world’s largest simultaneously coordinated research competition and exhibition with the most number of participants in more than 200 locations in a country.

“The first-of-its-kind poster presentation format of the competition and exhibition is designed to create opportunities for students, faculty, professionals, and researchers in various fields from different institutions to meet with their counterparts and potential partners in a friendly yet competitive atmosphere,” says Dr. Glenn S. Cabacang, AAG, Singapore Chairman and overall Chair of RACE.

“It creates platforms for interested private companies, international organizations, and government agencies to meet with budding researchers and collaborate, finance and widen the practical application of researches that will help solve the most pressing issues facing communities and economic sectors.”

Cabacang is the founder of Ascendens Asia Group and has had extensive experience in multidisciplinary research platforms and human resource management programs in Singapore, Philippines, and other Asian countries.
