A SMALL Town Lottery operator, in partnership with the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, has donated one ambulance unit worth P1.45 million to the Provincial Capitol of Compostela Valley Province on Monday, said PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan.

Balutan graced the blessing and turnover of the ambulance unit to support the activities of STL operators, especially its medical and ambulance donation programs.

The ambulance unit was donated by Oro Swerte Gaming and Leisure Corp., headed by its president lawyer Maceste Uy, PCSO’s authorized STL agent for the Province of Compostela Valley.

Oro Swerte, which started operating on Sept. 20, 2017, has about 500 employees, including sales agents and administrative staff.

“Oro Swerte has consistently exceeded its Guaranteed Monthly Retail Receipt [GMRR],” said lawyer Ravena Joy Rama, branch manager, PCSO Davao del Norte branch, who was also present during the event.

Compostela Valley is located in the Davao Region in Mindanao.

While it is classified as a first class province, agriculture is the major economy of the province that is why ComVal is far from urban centers and hospitals.

The event, which was supervised by PCSO Davao del Sur branch headed by its branch manager, lawyer Elvie Ann T. Uy, was also graced by Dr. and Mrs. Alex Castillo and Dr. Jacques Pinili from the Office of the PCSO chairman, and Bebot Cualing and Nolan Inso both from Oro Swerte Corp.

PCSO Davao del Sur branch has 12 employees with daily Individual Medical Assistance Program allocation of P800,000.

It has three At-Source-Ang-Processing desks with daily IMAP allocations at the following hospitals: Southern Philippine Medical Center in Davao City, P300,000; Brokenshire Hospital, P150,000, and Davao Doctors Hospital, P100,000.
