Ombudsman Samuel Martires on Monday said he dislikes hypocrites and liars at the workplace.
During yesterday’s flag-raising ceremony, he warned officials and employees of the Office of the Ombudsman to stay straightforward and honest in what they feel about him.
He said he welcomes honest comments on him and his actions and could accept constructive criticisms rather to be in the company of people who criticize him and talk about him behind his back.
Martires also instructed all Ombudsman personnel to hold their Monday flag-raising ceremony in front of the Ombudsman’s building, and not inside the auditorium.
During the stint of retired Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales they used to hold the activity at the auditorium as part of the agency’s strict security measures.
