Tropical storm Vinta weakens

Tropical storm "Vinta" has slightly weakened after crossing Davao region.

Weather bureau PAGASA has located the storm in the vicinity if Malaybalay City in Bukidnon.

It is packing maximum sustained winds of up to 80 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 130 kph.

Vinta is moving west at 18 kph.

PAGASA says, it may remove tropical storm warning signals tomorrow afternoon.

It is expecting Vinta to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) beginning Sunday morning until Monday morning.

Storm signal number 2 is up over Agusan del Sur, Davao del Norte, North Cotabato, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboaga Sibugay.

Storm signal number 1 is up over Southern Leyte, Bohol, Southern Cebu, Negros Oriental, Southern Negros Occidental, Siquijor, Dinagat Island, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Camiguin, Compostela Valley, Davao Oriental, Davao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat and Basilan.
