Tropical storm Urduja has slightly accelerated.
It is now approaching Samar and Sorsogon area.
Urduja is expected to make landfall between Northern Samar and Eastern Samar this afternoon.
PAGASA reports, the storm is currently located 75 kilometers northeast of Borongan City in Eastern Samar or 120 kilometers southeast of Catarman, Northern Samar.
Urduja packs maximum susutained winds of up to 80 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 110 kph.
It is moving west at 15 kph.
