Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa has a request to retiring policemen who are seeking salary increase.
"Hintayin nyong maging presidente ako (wait till I become president)," he said.
He promised to triple the salary of cops once he becomes the Chief Executive.
Dela Rosa made this remark during the flag-raising ceremony at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Monday.
He is addressing the lament of retiring policemen who are not included in the salary adjustment next year.

Cops with rank of Police Officers One (PO1) will be the ones to receive salary hikes in 2018.
