Newly-appointed Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Isidro Lapena has assumed his post.
This was through a simple turnover ceremony at BOC on Wednesday.
In his speech, Lapena warned that he would practice a one-strike policy against Custom officials and employees who will engage in corrupt activities.
He also reported he would bring in new personnel at the Bureau.
He also intends to set up a 24-hour feedback mechanism.

Resigned Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon thanked the employees for their support.
He said he hopes, they will also back the administration of the new Customs chief.
After the ceremony, Lapena promptly presided over an executive meeting among BOC executives.
