A promotional campaign launched by a petroleum company has caused traffic congestion in some areas.
This comes, after motorists lined up in the outlets of the oil firm to avail of big discount.
On Tuesday, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. cut the price of its petroleum products to P 10 pesos per liter.
This huge discount attracted many motorists to Phoenix’s gas stations.
In a Phoenix outlet in West Fairview, Quezon City, the promo caused a traffic jam from morning until noon.
The congestion began from Dahlia Street until Regalado Street.
The outlet owner did not expect this kind of response from customers.
Before noon, traffic enforcers were trying to fix the problem.
The same situation has also been reported in Phoenix Petroleum’s outlet in Muñoz, Quezon City along the southbound lane of EDSA.
Long lines of motorists waiting to be served at the oil company’s outlets in Cavite and Sta. Rosa, Laguna have also been reported.
