Duterte to talk with US envoy and hold cabinet meeting

President Rodrigo Duterte is meeting United States (US) Ambassador Sung Kim in Malacañang on Monday afternoon.

The US has been aiding government troops fighting the Maute terrorists in Marawi City through technical support.

Duterte is also meeting with local government officials from Isabela City, Basilan today.

After these appointments, the chief executive will preside over a special cabinet meeting.

This is the second special cabinet meeting he is conducting since he arrived from Russia.

The first special cabinet meeting was held in Davao City.
