Philippine National Police (PNP) Director Ronald dela Rosa hails the effects of the martial law proclamation in Mindanao.

Dela Rosa says, the martial rule in the South enables law enforcers to quickly secure warrants of arrest from courts and hunt suspected members of the Maute group who have left Marawi City.

“Yung mga sumisibat na Maute members, nai-intercept pa natin sa Iligan City (we are able to intercept fleeing Maute members in Iligan City),” Dela Rosa said.

Police are filing charges of rebellion against persons nabbed for alleged involvement in Marawi City siege.

The latest arrests include a sister of the Maute brothers.

She was nabbed while on board a vessel that was about to arrive in the port of Iloilo on Sunday.
