JDV named special envoy

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Former House Speaker Jose De Venecia to a post at the Department of Foreign Affairs.

De Venecia has been named Special Envoy for 'Inter-Cultural Dialogue.'

His term is until December this year.

In a statement, the Deparment of Foreign Affairs said, De Venecia's role is "to advise government on inter-cultural dialogue issues to make recommendations to the government on how to advance PH interests as regards this issue."

Duterte has also issued an appointment paper to Catalino Cuy, assigning him to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

But the document does not specify which post Cuy will assume.

Cuy was first appointed acting secretary after the President fired Former DILG Secretary Ismael Sueno.

92 others have been given several government positions by Malacañang.
