The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has declared Manila Bay a ‘no-sail’ zone.

Sailing of all types of vessels, especially yatchs and fishing boats, is prohibited from now until Saturday (April 28) in view of the ASEAN Summit and related meetings.

PCG Spokesperson Commander Armand Balilo says, the order covers the shores near the United States Embassy, Manila Yatch Club, the breakwater, the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Complex and SM Mall of Asia.

The order also includes the routes to and from Corregidor Island.

Balilo adds, the PCG’s Quick Reaction Team and its anti-terrorism group are on high alert for any possible untoward event.
