A TROPICAL cyclone is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (late Tuesday night), the fourth cyclone in 2017, weathermen said.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, the cyclone will be named “Dante.”
It is forecast to strengthen into a tropical storm.
Despite such, the weather bureau said the cyclone will not directly affect the country.
Occasional rainshowers and thunderstorms will be expected over the week.

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, the cyclone was last seen 1,285 kilometers east of Southern Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kms per hour near the center and gusts of up to 65 kph.
