Cop who allegedly aided a fleeing bandit taken to Camp Crame

The police official who allegedly attempted to rescue an Abu Sayyaf bandit as he was being pursued by government troops has been brought to the PNP Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Superintendent Maria Cristina Nobleza will be presented on Tuesday to PNP Chief Ronald Dela Rosa.

Nobleza is the deputy regional Director of the Crime Laboratory of the Davao Regional Police Office.

She was nabbed on Saturday as she reportedly tried to drive past a checkpoint in Barangay Bacani, Clarin, Bohol.

Nobleza was with her alleged boyfriend, suspected ASG member Reenor Lou Dungon, and his relatives.

Both Nobleza and Dungon were  taken to Camp Crame by a team led by Central Visayas Regional Police Office operatives led by Supt. Jonathan Cabal on Tuesday morning.

They arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on board a Cebu Pacific flight at about 9 am.

After they are presented to Dela Rosa today, the two will undergo interrogation from investigators.

The Philippine National Police considers Nobleza and Dungon to be high risk suspects.
